Access to medical records
The practice is registered and complies with the Data Protection Act 1998. Any request for access to notes by a patient, patient’s representative or outside body will be dealt with in accordance with the Act. Please contact the Practice for further information.
Complaints Policy
We take complaints very seriously. If you would like to make a complaint regarding the surgery or the services we offer, please contact Dr Keane by telephone or, if you prefer, in writing. Every effort will be made to answer your concerns as soon as possible.

GP Earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Mountfield Surgery in the last financial year was £53,005 before Tax and National Insurance. This calculation is for 1 full-time GP and 3 part-time GPs and who have worked in the practice for more than six months.
Medical education
We teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to withdraw if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
Patient confidentiality
We respect your right to privacy and keep all your health information confidential and secure. It is important that the NHS keeps accurate and up-to-date records about your health and treatment so that those treating you can give you the best possible care. This information may be used for management and audit purposes. However, it is usually only available to, and used by, those involved in your care. You have the right to know what information we hold about you. If you would like to see your records please contact the Practice Manager.

If you cannot attend an appointment – for whatever reason – please let us know, this will help us to provide a better service, and may prevent other people from being kept waiting.
